Step by step guide to our service
1. Initial Inquiry – Once you get in touch, we will contact you for an intial discussion about your child and the support they need.
2. Parent/Caregiver Consultation – A meeting without the child to understand concerns and history. During this session we would complete a baseline questionnaire. complete a contract and organise where the sessions would be held.
3. Therapist would meet the child and explain what to expect in the sessions.
4. Therapy Begins – Weekly sessions with at agreed time.
5. Review & Feedback – Ongoing communication with parents/referrer
What to expect in a session.
At this time Sussex Sunshine play therapy completes sessions at the child's school, with the agreement of the school.
Duration of sessions are generally 45-50.
The therapeutic environment is safe, no-judgemental environment and allows the child to direct the sessions.
The child attends the sessions on their own. The therapist will be responsible for taking the child to and from the sessions.
The therapist will monitor sessions through PTUK's data tool. The therapist will organise review dates with the parent/referrer.

General fees
Initial Parent Consultation (60 minutes): £35
Child Play Therapy Session (45 minutes): £60
Review Session (with parents 30 minutes): £35
Admin fees will include review reports and end reports and will be charged at £40.
I have a limited number of reduced-fee slots are available for families experiencing financial hardship. Please enquire for details.
Sessions are self funded by parents/carers, however if you have access to funding I am able to support, for example if you have funds through EHCP, Buttle grants and certain Local authorities.
